Need a Home

I've been back for a month..
Still cannot get used to
The cramped up feeling I get here in Singapore..

Everywhere I look it's so crowded and cramped..
Especially now that it's the Christmas season..

Orchard Road is a veritable trampling ground -.-"

I have a certain home-sickness..
Not for Singapore or Australia..
But for a place where I feel I belong..

I know I sound like someone who has the perfect life..
Shuttling between Singapore and Australia..
With no long-term family or financial commitments..
And I don't wanna look like I don't appreciate my life..

But I'm at this stage..
Where my "roosting" instincts are kickin in..
And I wanna find a place where I belong..

Or could it just be the usual Christmas blues I always get?

Well mum, only you know :)
I still think of you everyday..
Next Feb will be 6 years now..
Hope you are happy wherever you may be :)

Back in Singapore..

Been a really busy few weeks..
Meeting up with people :)
Quite fun as well..

Met up with the sgWarGames.net mods on Wednesday with Junky :)

...anyway back to last nite's outin, i reached Orchard Hereen ard 8pm. met up wif Rox 1st coz she was already there so bery early till she went shop shop ard Taka.

then we waited at the taxi stand behind Hereen for the guys lor, gd lor, all of the guys reached later then us made me n Rox wait till zzz.

Rox's HP really hotline, fully charged batt used till 2 bars left. LOL

Ricaro(Recaro) was there 1st, den i met Chav, den came Traveller, we stood there in front of the Club China 2008 at the Hereen taxi stand n Rox intro the guys to me.

since the rest of the gang will be late, we headed to Iced Cold Beer pub ard Emerald to have some drinks while waitin.

i was quite hungry coz neber makan anythin since lunchtime so i was happily munchin away on the potato wedges n chicken wings, washin it down wif orange juice as i dun dare to drink on an empty stomach.

Joker reached the pub bout 10mins after we're there, den came Jinx n Senti in their uniform after work from Taka.

Podgy drove to town from AMK, he called me a few times to ask for the pub's location, he almost couldn't find the place but managed to reach b4 i finished eatin the potato wedges n chicken wings.

last came Mad(Mav) n Adelyn(Andeelym) de Unicorn :p pai seh n vry sorry i got their spellin wrong but heheh..

we chit chat n poke fun at each other after the usual intro, me n Rox keep laffin all the way till we peng.

poor Traveller was the happenin chap of the day, he was playin a rd of pool, bein the noob his position was abit out, n along came tis big hansome black guy offerin to correct his posture by holdin Traveller's hands n bendin over him to show the correct positionin. too bad neber snap a photo of him in tat position.

den Traveller almost kanna molested by the cleanin ah-mah when he was standin in front of the kitchen doorway, den again almost kanna molest by a cute lookin waitress.

me n Rox laff till eyes all tears liao, Ricaro said he bth moi witch laffter. LOLLOL

tat Jinx dunno y so blur last nite, he keep takin Rox's beer bottle mistakin it for his, makin her gotta hide her beer bottle in a corner of the table.

the guys played a few rds of pool n we juz relax ard the pool table, drinkin beer n snappin photos usin the guy's digicameras, think i'll ask Rox send them to me if she's got them later..."

Isn't she the cutest? :) ehehe~

Dropping Bombshells

Yesterday I received an email from my dad
Telling me that his friend,
The father of my housemate,
Had a game of golf with the landlord in Singapore -.-

Apparently..
The landlord now wants back my room..

Timing is just WONDERFUL..
Like I can SO look for ANOTHER room
BEFORE I FLY OFF ON MONDAY -.-

How inconsiderate..
Why tell me just days before I fly?!
Like, if I had known..
I'd probably find an alternative storage
For my furniture (my room was unfurnished)
And move out first so
I don't have to pay that 3 months of rental..

To make matters worse..
My dad is again uncontactable
And somewhere in Indonesia right now..
He would only be back on the 23rd
Which is a day after I arrive in Singapore -.-

Wonderful..

I'm having such fun..-.-

Summer Holidays!

Finally finished those wretched papers!!
Yay!! :)
Anymore and I wouldn't be left with any braincells :P

Listening to DJ Sammy's Boys of Summer
And drinkin cold water in my room :P
Already getting hotter by the day
(Or so it seems to me..)

Saturday I actually filled my bathtub just so
I could sit in it to cool off..
It was burning up even in my room -.-
When I turned the cold water tap on..
WARM water came out!! -.-"

Hmmmm
Quite exhausted actually..
Cos I've been waking up at 6 the past few mornings..
Probably should go catch up on my sleep now :P
And CSCSCSCS later :P

Me in my room :) 

G'Day, Mate!

Heehee~
Today was a very smooth sailing day
For which I'm really thankful :)
The paper went much better than I had expected :)

After that I went shopping!! :P
I'd been couped up at home for almost 2 weeks..
And beginning to show signs of withdrawal! :P
(And I think the last time I studied so hard
Was for my O levels..
Which is now.. *gasp* more than 6 years go!! Haha!)

Anyway I got some of my Christmas shopping done :)
Heehee *very pleased with myself* :P
As well as a t-shirt I'd been eyeing for ages..
The regular retail price was $49.95 and I got it for $19 :P

Ahahah yes..
I'm still the same bargain hunter I've always been :P

Exhausted :)
Shopping can really substitute for a good workout!
Hahaha :P

A Little Extract of Encouragement

Although this is just an extract
From an email I wrote to a friend
Who's showing signs of burn out..

I decided to post it..
In case there are some of you who
Need a little dose of encouragement :)

"We all feel like that once in awhile..
And when you realise how small you are compared to
What other people have to face..
And there are so many people you would like to help
And reach out to..
But you have your own physical limit as a human being..
Its frustrating..
Depressing cos you wonder who's gonna be there for you
Even as you go about your job everyday..

Its very easy for us to lose hope
And easy for us to wonder whether we are
Actually making positive impacts
On other people's lives..
I know what it feels like to be overworked
Even though my jobs were never as emotionally
And mentally draining as yours..

I know what it feels like to work so hard until you
Lose your sense of purpose..
And your footing in God..

But He is always there..
Always holding us when we don't feel it..
Even when we are so tired we don't feel like
Acknowledging Him by being Christians like we were
Taught to do..

That's where friends come and stand in the gap..
They come with hugs (and emails :P hehe) when
We don't feel God's presence
To remind us that He still loves us and has
Blessed each of us with friends who care..
And love us.."

Politics of Law

Second paper tomorrow.....

Had my own version of a sausage mcmuffin with egg
For brunch today :) SO SHIOK!!
But I won't dare to publish anymore foodie pix..
Hahahaha :P

I also found out that another of my friends is MARRIED!!
She's from my old CounterStrike clan GuR|z..
(Her callsign is ScimitaR)
Now 2 out of the 5 original members are married..
Man.. are we getting OLD!

Icy and I were trying to figure out her age :P
We think she must be 26 by now or something..
It's ok I guess..
Just that I still see Marriage as a HUGE step
And I wonder how people decide when they are ready?
Or are they never ready?
When is the right time?
Or is there never a right time?
When you've earned enough?
But when is enough enough?

Haha :P it's just typical of me..
I just have so many things to wonder about as usual..
Thank Gdness I'm only 22 still..
And still a struggling student :) hehe

With exams tomorrow! Haha
Better get back to my books..
